Family, Reason 194, Tamara Yancosky

Family –

Whether near, or apart,

my family is always in my heart.
.
My family is my life, and my life is my family.

My words can never come close to conveying my love for each of my family members, and neither can my actions. But, if they could reach into my heart, they would understand the depth of my love for each of them.
My family is my purpose of life.

Speck of Hope 191

Speck of Hope –

Hello, from Tamara!

Today was an especially rough day for me, emotionally. My bad day began from something that happened to me yesterday, and the day before that, as well. This something opened up old wounds that I thought had thoroughly healed through my reasoning skills.

As an emotional person, sometimes reasoning skills go out the window when triggers seep in through my protection barrier.

Today was no better, but actually worse than even the two days I had just experienced. So then, everything suddenly began triggering me simply because I was already so miserable.

Child’s Eyes, Reason 182

Child’s Eyes,

Reason 182

~

This is Tamara!

Doses of shimmering colors and soft, pastel shades can be seen in greater richness and vibrancy when viewed through the healing touch of a child’s eyes. This is reason  to find great joy and wonder in life!

Looking Through A Child’s Eyes, Poetry

If I could glimpse through a child’s eyes

at all the wondrous beauty that they see,

My eyes would drink in so much joy,

and these captivating feasts

would satisfy me!

.

I would see the sun glossing a sugar-pink rose,

and a turquoise river flowing wild and free;

There would be rainbows on every corner,

Reflection, Reason 181

Reflection

Hey, there! It’s Tamara, again, and I’m on a roll!

As far as Reason #181, I love the Lord’s warm, loving reflection upon my heart, as a major reason to find joy in being alive!

In this poem, I am feeling rather blue from the bitter cold, but the Lord comes through (which is really no surprise as long as we trust him).

Reflection

Winter had come quite early for her,

though in reality, it was still early autumn;

she wore a coat, hat, and gloves, Continue reading “Reflection, Reason 181”

Big Dogs, Reason 179

Big Dogs

Hello, this is Tamara

Big Dogs are cool, and fun! Having fun is a good enough reason, in my book, to live!

My dad’s 100-plus pound dog, a silky Black Labrador (with a coat so glossy, that it shines even when there is no light present), follows me around everywhere.

So, this means that when I sit down, he plops on the floor, right below me.

Thus, as it so happens, I arose from the chair to do some errands, and as I took one gigantic step over him (so as not to actually step right on top of him), he also rose up (there is humor in this), and so, all at once, I found myself riding on the back of this big, black horse!

Surviving California Fire! Reason One Hundred Forty One

Surviving California Fire!

Surviving a major Natural Catastrophe, such as the Northern California, Camp Fire, that burned over 100,000 acres of forestry, including over six thousand residential homes, and many businesses, nearly wiping out the entire town, just two days ago, is a reason to live!

Trying to drive faster than the flames could catch me, with my Australian Shepherd, two meowing cats, and one hay-munching bunny Continue reading “Surviving California Fire! Reason One Hundred Forty One”

Music That Moves Me, One Hundred Twenty Two

Music that moves me is one of my many favorite things! Some of the reasons why I find music such a great inspirational tool in living my life with greater joy, and thereby, thriving (instead of just surviving) are as follows:

1). Music has a seemingly magical way of lifting me up higher than a soaring bird, rising me far above the clouds, when I am feeling down. Continue reading “Music That Moves Me, One Hundred Twenty Two”
