Rain 2 – I’m alive #193

I was running through the rain to work. I love rain. I hate getting wet, but I love rain. So wrapped up with my hood down Iran through the rain. It was, is, awesome. The only thing I was thinking of was ‘I’m alive’. Rain. Is this any different to my first ‘rain’ reason or the second (or third)?

Either yeah, or no.

So long as there’s life, there’s hope.

Love, light and glitter

  1. I started running to recover. It was at a time when I didn’t feel much… but then if you run in the rain, you can’t help but feel, really. I videod myself shouting ‘I’m alive!’ (I live in a place where there aren’t many people in the countryside!). I look Terrible in the clip (bedraggled and haggered) – but it was the beginning of recovery for me. Your post reminded me of this. xx

    1. This made me really smile. I can just see you doing that…. so cool that you did! and yeah, you just, do, are. Thanks for sharing…. I appreciate it…

  2. Thanks for reminding us it’s not just bright sunshine that deserves love, Eliza.

Of course, much depends on the circumstances. In July, when it lessens the humidity, yes! This time of year, maybe, not so much.

Even now, though, being inside while the rain pours, beautifully cozy. Plus, there’s always the glory of the sun emerging after an all-day rain.

Of course, hats off to you, as you find the positives even in rainfall. Well done, Eliza. Kind of the whole idea, isn’t it?

    1. Yeah… I want to get back to posting reasons. To finding them! I hope to post an autumn post on my other blog – took some pictures but can’t upload on here for some reason. I love the feel of rain, I just don’t like the grey skies… though yes, they help us appreciate when it’s clear so much more.

    1. I hate getting wet but love the feel of rain. If dressed up warmly enough and in your galoshes (I think they’re called) and rain coat so that the rain doesn’t get you wet, but you can just feel it……

      1. I bought different footwear to walk in the rain but the problem was our rain was never a soft rain; it seemed like it was always a torrential downpour. That’s what happened over and over again. It is raining tonight and will change over to snow at midnight and keep snowing until Monday night at 7:00 – horrible!
