One Hundred and Four: I would attempt

Someone emailed me this quote. I replied to her. Although I don’t believe in the quote fully. What would you attempt if you knew you wouldn’t fail? How about you NEVER can fail? That life is never about failing, rather about learning, about getting up, and about attempting :)

I would attempt
I would attempt to love
I would attempt to trust
I would attempt to do
That which I felt a must
I would attempt to be
To just be
I would attempt to know
All about me

I would attempt
I would attempt to be
Present in this universe
Get rid of this wall
That seems like a curse
I would attempt to be patient
Patient and kind
I would attempt to be good
Including in mind
I would attempt to know
My own worth
Believe it wasn’t
A mistake – my birth.

I would attempt
I would attempt to never
Mess up my life
To live life
Without strife
I would attempt to get rid of
The constant need for destruction
The need for self harm
Or suicidal ideation

I would attempt
I would attempt to tune in
To the essence of creation
Know that the world
Isn’t just an innovation
I would attempt to connect
Be constantly aware
Of the presence of infinity
Always there
I would attempt to remove
The everpresent fear
Of possibly holding
Of something as dear

I would attempt
I would attempt
Life is about attempting
What if there were
No failing
Who said there is
Such a thing as fail
Bumpy is normal
It ain’t meant to be a smooth sail

I would attempt
I would attempt
I do attempt
Every moment of every day
To live my life
In the best possible way
I would attempt
If I could attempt just one more thing
I would be not to overthink or dramatise
Ever last damn thing.
